Job Description
 
Job Title: Independent Contractor-Quality Auditor                   Department: Program Management
Reports To: AVS Program Manager                                       
FLSA Status: Exempt
 
Summary Audit processes, quality program plans, and manufacturing processes to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards by performing contract duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned). The Auditor obtains quality assurance checklist in order to ask Supplier administrative personnel questions pertaining to job function, production processes, and quality compliance. The Auditor will read quality information such as work logs; product processing and specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance guidelines. The Auditor will observe workers using equipment to verify that equipment is operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards. Writes and submits audit report to Aerospace Vendor Solutions.

 Independent Contractor-Quality Auditor Profile
 
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: The ideal Auditor candidate will possess five or more years of Aviation quality management and source inspection experience. Familiarity with ISO and/or AS9100 quality standards is a plus. Technical Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
 
Language Skills: The ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization is a requisite.
 
Mathematical Skills: The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is a requisite.
 
Reasoning Ability: The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to resolve issues involving several variables and multiple parties.
 
Computer Skills: A working knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is a must. MS Project is a plus.
